Martin Luther King III, the oldest son of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King, has devoted his life to advancing human rights, peace, and justice around the world. Building upon his parents’ legacy, Mr. King is a respected international statesman and thought leader whose work inspires new generations to pursue nonviolence and equity in their communities and beyond.

As Board Chairman of the Drum Major Institute, he has helped re-launch and expand an organization originally founded over 60 years ago to carry forward Dr. King’s mission. Today, the Institute partners with educators, faith leaders, and socially conscious organizations to inspire collective action, promote democracy, and create tangible solutions for lasting change.

From the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to the halls of government, Mr. King has addressed audiences across the globe, led marches, and hosted countless civil rights events. His ability to connect history with the challenges of today makes him a powerful voice for reconciliation and progress. Through his leadership, he continues to challenge us to dream bigger: “If we can live a day in peace, why can’t we live a week in peace? If we can live a week in peace, why can’t we live a month? If we can live a month, why not a year? And if we can achieve a year, why not a lifetime?”

Mr. King, together with his wife and their daughter, Yolanda Renee King, also recently announced the Realize the Dream Initiative, with the ambitious goal of collecting 100 million service hours by Dr. King’s 100th birthday, on January 15, 2029. Through strategic partnerships and relationships with civil rights leaders and prominent activists, they are committed to realizing the dream and empowering the next generation of authentic leaders.

On this voyage, travelers will hear Mr. King reflect on lessons learned from his parents’ legacy, his own path of activism, and his vision for a more peaceful, compassionate world. His presence promises to inspire thoughtful conversation about the power of community, courage, and hope.
