Aralia Loiterstein Lorente
Hi, I’m Aralia Loiterstein Lorente, Official Tour Guide in the Canary Islands, Social Educator, and Writer.
Born in Lanzarote in 1989, raised in La Palma, and living in Gran Canaria since 2015, my life has always been shaped by islands, movement and curiosity.
After finishing my studies in 2010, I set out to travel. For five years, I lived nomadically across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South America, first solo, then as a couple, and finally as a family.
These journeys led to the publication of my book Agua dulce, agua salada (2021), chronicling my sailing voyage from the Canary Islands to Brazil, along the African coast, and up the Amazon River to Peru.
I have delivered talks and workshops on travel, writing techniques and environmental awareness. Today, I work as CEO of a Literary Residence, continue developing my writing (and talking) projects, guide visitors through the Canary Islands in Spanish, English and French, and manage a 2,500-square-meter fruit farm. All while being a full-time mother.
In my (little) free time, I read, draw, hike, create, and seek meaningful conversations and cultural events.
I am deeply in love with the Canary Islands and feel grateful to call this land home.
Languages spoken: Spanish, French, English
