Jean-Philippe Marre has been passionate about history, the sea, and ships since an early age.

Holding a degree in architecture, he combines his work as director of an architectural firm with research into the history of ocean liners and navigation along the legendary transatlantic route.

Recognized as a specialist in the history of the Titanic, he has appeared in several documentaries and has published a book devoted to the architect of the famous liner and its construction in the Belfast shipyards. His field of study also extends to the history of Ireland, as well as to the evolution of the arts and technology.

Jean-Philippe Marre is a member of the Association of Friends of the French National Maritime Museum (AAMM), the organization Les Amis de French Lines, dedicated to promoting French maritime and port heritage, and the French Titanic Association, which supports research and works to preserve the memory of the Titanic’s French passengers.
