Singapore's good fortune has often been attributed to the practice of feng shui. Feng shui is the ancient art of harnessing the natural energies of Heaven, Earth and Man to create a balanced and harmonious environment. Singapore is home of many feng shui architectural gems. Some of these buildings are world renowned.
Join your coach and start your exploration with the spectacular building of Marina Bay Sands Hotel which seats at the dragon's mouth, and is in a wonderful position to soak up all the positive qi and prosperity before it disperses into the South China Sea. Instead of facing out to sea, the Resort looks over Marina Bay, the financial district which includes all the major banks, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay to infinity. This is considered very auspicious!
Then, you will drive along Orchard Road and view some buildings and structures that have been influenced by feng shui to increase business and profits, before reaching the financial centre. In this financial district, many buildings have been constructed using feng shui concepts, like one of Singapore's foremost banking institutions, which chose to use traditional Chinese characters to reflect its line of business.
Then, you will stop at the Marina Barrage, Singapore's 15th reservoir, which is often criticized by feng shui experts. Unlike the other reservoirs, Marina Barrage is located in the city centre to keep out seawater from Kallang Basin and Marina Bay. It redirects the flow of the Singapore River and Kallang River into the man-made Marina Bay. However, the possible impact on the feng shui of the area may have been neglected.
Finally, you will discover Suntec City, designed in the shape of an open hand, with the five towers representing fingers. Some claim that the fingers' connection to the palm symbolise Singapore's different races living in harmony, although this could also be interpreted as achieving financial gain through unity and co-operation. This brilliant feng shui formation is known as the "King Holding Up the Sky".

Experience first-hand the cultures, traditions and pastimes of the multi-ethnic community of Singapore. Little India is the focal point for the Indian community. In exotic Little India, you will be greeted by the strong, heady scent of spices and jasmine garlands, followed by a treasure trove of silverware, brassware, woodcarving and colourful silk saris.

The four-storey building is an iconic, unique and sustainable structure that blends both traditional Indian as well as modern architectural elements. The diversity and multi-faceted nature of Indian culture is also captured in the use of a translucent shimmering façade to create an impression of the Centre as a “shining jewel” during the day, transforming into a “glowing lantern” of the Indian community with the lighting of the colourful façade mural at night.
Next, you will visit Kampong Glam, the place to take in the history and culture of the Malay people. Spend time in Arab Street, with an abundance of glittery and lavish fashion items that include the finest lace, sparkling semi-precious stones, ostrich feathers, iron-on diamantes, gold thread, wholesale bales of silk, and organza with dazzling rainbow hues and intensities. Traditional rattan is also sold in some Arab Street shops, and the beautiful gold-domed Sultan Mosque is also located here.
Your final stop will be Chinatown. Walk along Pagoda Street and get a glimpse of the Chinese influenced curios, accessories, apparel and much more. It is a good place to hunt for local souvenirs and gifts to bring home. Visit the Buddha Tooth Temple, which is a Chinese Buddhist temple and museum styled after the Tang Dynasty. Then, take a walk to a Hindu temple, Sri Mariaman Temple, for a short inside visit. Enjoy free time on your own to explore Chinatown and do your own souvenir shopping before getting back to your coach.

From the port, leave for the Trowulan Museum, which you will reach after a 1,5-hour drive.
This archaeological museum was built in order to house the artifacts and archaeological findings discovered around Trowulan and its vicinity. The ancient city ruins at Trowulan had been discovered by the 19th century. Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, governor of Java from 1811 until 1816 reported the existence of ruins of temples scattered about the country for many miles. Much of the region was blanketed with dense teak forest at that time, making detailed survey difficult. The urgent need to prevent looting and stealing from Trowulan archaeological site was one of the main reasons to build a simple archaeological storage building that became the old Trowulan Museum.
The new museum was officially opened in 1987 and provides an excellent introduction to Majapahit art and civilisation. Statues, pottery, ridge tiles and vases' terracotta has pride of place. The piggy banks are remarkable. Note the exceptional Hindu linga and statues, and numerous Chinese ceramics attesting to the exchanges between the Majapahit and the Middle Kingdom.
Next, you will visit the gateway of Bajang Ratu Temple an elegant red brick gate dating from the mid-14th century. The form of the structure is tall and slender, rising to a height of 16.5 metres and displaying intricate relief decoration, especially on the roof section.
On the return drive, you will pass some villages where you will be able to observe villager's activities.

Enjoy a short trek on Komodo Island. Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The highlight of this trip is seeing the Komodo Dragons. These relatives of the dinosaurs are the biggest reptiles on earth, reaching lengths of over 10 feet (3 meters) and weights of over 275 lbs. (125kg).
The earliest stories of a dragon existing in the region circulated widely and attracted considerable attention. No one visited the island to check the story until official interest was sparked in the early 1910's by stories from Dutch sailors based in Flores about a mysterious creature allegedly described as a "dragon" that spat fire. In 1915, the Dutch government placed the dragon on the list of protected species. More recently, Komodo was named to the controversial list of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in November 2011.
From the pier you will walk to the Tamarind Woods ranger's station. There you will have a short briefing. Then, keep an eye open for these dappled giants as you approach Banuggulung, a former Komodo feeding ground, in the company of an expert guide who will provide further insight into the life of these unique and fascinating creatures.
At the end of your trek, you will be returned to the rangers' station, where you will have time to browse for souvenirs from local villagers before being transferred back to the ship.

From the port, leave for the Trowulan Museum, which you will reach after a 1,5-hour drive.
This archaeological museum was built in order to house the artifacts and archaeological findings discovered around Trowulan and its vicinity.

Crystal-clear, blue water laps at the sand, and massive headlands shelter the shallow bay and foster the growth of beautiful coral, making this an ideal place for viewing a colorful and diverse underwater world.
