From the pier, board your coach for a 50-minute drive to the eastern suburb of Saigon. You will appreciate the quiet, rural area for your first stop.
With your guide, start your visit of the Ao Dai Museum. The ao dai is the Vietnamese national dress, symbol of all the beauty and elegance of Vietnamese women. This dress is for Vietnam what the kimono is for Japan. Enter the peaceful garden and reach the long house where you will discover 3 permanent exhibitions showcasing the history and the variety of ao dai. This atypical museum was dreamed up and created by Sy Hoang, a famous Vietnamese designer who wanted to create a place where visitors could discover the history of Vietnamese clothing and relax in the garden. After the visit, discover, on your own, the charms of the garden, with its ancient wooden architecture, bamboo bridges, rice fields and lotus ponds.
Re-board your coach and head back to Saigon. You will enter the Bitexco Financial Tower and take the elevator to the Skydeck (49th floor). Here you will have the chance to see Saigon from above and take breathtaking photos of the economic capital of Vietnam.
Drive back to the pier.

From the pier, start a panoramic city tour of Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon. A witness to the independence of Vietnam, this city changes as fast as the Vietnamese economy develops. The impressive contrast between the traditional and modernity is an eloquent example of how the Saigonese want to keep their identity despite of globalisation.
During this city tour, including photo stops, you will discover the former Presidential Palace, now known as Reunification Hall. This historic building was made famous when a Vietnamese liberation tank crashed through its front gates on 30 April 1975, signalling the end of the Vietnam War. You will also see the famous Notre Dame Cathedral, a neoclassical structure dating back to the 19th century. On the other side of the square, the Central Post Office proudly shows its colonial style outside, and hides rare ancient maps decorated on the dome inside the building.
Your next visit is the Jade Emperor Pagoda. Built in 1909 in honour of the supreme Taoist god, this temple is a perfect example of a Vietnamese-style religious site. Replete with statues of divinities and heroes, locals celebrate a number of festivities at the pagoda, such as New Year’s, Buddhist and Taoist celebrations.
Then, you will head to the Fito Museum. Even though theirs is a modern society, many Vietnamese still use herbs to heal wounds or treat chronic diseases. You will visit the very interesting Herbal Medicine Museum to see how trees, herbs, and other plants are exploited for medical purposes.
Your last stop will be to Binh Tay Market, in the very heart of Cholon, more commonly known as Chinatown. The streets are full of life and colour, with bargaining being conducted at numerous street stalls.

Located west of Saigon, Cu Chi turned out to be the most war-torn area during the Vietnam War with the French and the American. Driving for 70 km (44 mi) out of the city centre and into the surrounding countryside, it is hard to believe you are entering a war zone of such strategic importance. This tour focuses on the ingenuity and resilience of the Vietnamese fighters who both lived and fought from underground tunnels. Originally constructed as a means to fight against the French by the Viet Minh, the tunnels were later expanded up to 11 metres (36 ft) below ground in hard soil using only rudimentary tools. Most tunnels were only 0.5–1 metre (2–3 ft) wide and 1.5 metre (5 ft) high, with thick roofs capable of withstanding the weight of tanks or the impact of bombs weighing up to 90 kg (200 lb).
En route to Cu Chi, a short photo-stop will be made at a rubber plantation.
On arrival at Cu Chi, a short video traces the history of the tunnels, their origins, design and construction. A military guide will explain with the use of dioramas the underground network, and display some of the tools and weapons utilised by the guerrillas. Much of the tunnel complex has been open and ventilated so that you can more easily experience the underground meeting rooms, kitchens, hospital and sleeping areas. More adventurous and agile tunnel explorers can experience an unlit passage, which has not been widened for the comfort of visitors! You will be tested to find the hidden tunnel entrances and be given insight into the ingenious methods that the Vietnamese soldiers employed to remain undetected and frustrate their enemies.
Refreshments and souvenirs are available in the nearby parking area, which also displays some military paraphernalia. On the return drive to Saigon, a stop will be made at the recently erected memorial nearby, which honours the ten thousand guerrilla soldiers who died during the fighting at Cu Chi.

From the pier, board your local coach for the 2 hour-drive to the “Vietnamese Giant Causeway”, Ghenh Da Dia, a surprising seashore area of uniformly interlocking basalt rock columns.
Upon arrival, explore with your local guide the Ghenh Da Dia and learn more about Vietnam geology. According to the geologists, this nature wonder is entirely made up of basalt resulting from volcanic activity of Van Hoa mountain. Nearly 200 million years ago, a major eruption caused a lava flow that spread as it thickened. During its cooling, the rock retracted into prismed columns, perpendicular to the cold surfaces, forming these famous volcanic organs. The area is about 100 metres wide and 250 metres long, composed of approximately 35,000 columns of basalt rocks.
Then, re-board your local coach for a short transfer to Mang Lang Church. With a history of more than 120 years of existence, Mang Lang church is considered as the oldest church in Phu Yen province and one of the oldest churches in Vietnam. Take time to discover this church, witness of the history of Christianism in Vietnam. This is also the place where the first national language book was kept.
Finally, on the way back to the pier, enjoy a last stop in Xuan Hai fishing village. Immerse yourself in the daily life of this seaside village.

From the pier, you will meet your local guide and board your coach. You will start a 90-minute panoramic drive to Dong Hoi across the Vietnamese countryside. You will discover the everyday life of locals here, crossing villages and fields. Dong Hoi City, ?n Quang Binh Province, flew completely under the tourist radar. However, that has all changed in the last few years with the discovery of one of the world’s largest caves, Son Doong cave, in the nearby Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
Upon your arrival, you will first discover one of the most important war relics in the city - Tam Toa Church. Built in 1886, it became a memorial monument for visitors who recall the history. During the Vietnam War, this church was bombed 48 times. You will continue to Quang Binh Gate, a porch and walls built in 1630 to protect Phu Xuan, capital of the Nguyen Lords. Due to several battles, the monument had been heavily damaged before being restored to its original design. Then, you will reach the statue of the Mother Suôt, at the riverfront. Between 1964 and 1967, the Vietnamese heroine was a boatman on the Nhât Lê River. She helped hundreds of soldiers to cross the river with weapons and ammunition. Every year, it carried out about 1,400 shuttles under constant threat from the enemy. In 1967, she was named a hero by the transportation and communications sector. Finally, you will head to the local market for an inside visit. You will be immersed in the local culture and can try haggling with the locals.
You will reboard your coach and head to the Canh Duong mural village. A mural painting project called “Fresco for the Future” is restoring the colourful appearance of Canh Duong fishing village following the devastation of storm Doksuri in September 2017. The murals were completed in early March 2018. The project drew the participation of professional artists and passionate young painters to create 30 murals in an impressive 3D-style on a variety of themes. The project is expected to contribute to promoting local tourism, bringing colour to the village and creating a new attraction for community-based tourism. After discovering the murals, you will visit the Whale Temple.
Afterwards you will reboard your coach for the 90-minute return drive to the port.
