It is traditionally believed that the history of Malaysia began with founding Malacca in 1400. The state flourished and became a huge emporium attracting traders from all over Asia and even as far as Europe. Then a succession of colonial eras turned Malacca into the fascinating melting pot of cultures, which still exist today.
From the pier, embark your coach for the short drive to the Dutch Square and its majestic Stadhuys, built by the Dutch for the official residence of their Governors and administrative building.
Visit the Historical and Ethnography Museum, the first floor of the Museum is devoted to the history of Melaka which is also the early history of Malaysia. It covers the period from the founding of Malacca as the Malay Sultanate as early as 1400, to its existence as a colony under the Portuguese, Dutch, British and Japanese ruling, to the establishment of the independent Federation of Malaya in 1957. Among the other popular exhibits on display are the items used in traditional wedding ceremonies, kitchen utensils, farming utensils and musical instruments. Continue, ascending up St Paul Hill to visit St Paul Church where, St Francis Xavier was temporary buried before his body was transferred to Goa, India. A stop will be made at Porta de Santiago, part of the Portugese fort built after 1512.
From Porta de Santiago, depart by coach to the old part of Malacca and visit the oldest Chinese Temples in South East Asia also known as The Cheng Hoong Teng Temple.
Before your return to the pier, stroll towards Jonker Street, which is renowned for its antique shops. However, over the years, it has also turned to many clothing and craft outlets as well as restaurants.

From the pier, board your coach and drive to the Malacca River cruise jetty for a 40-minute river cruise.
The Malacca River crosses Malacca City to the Strait of Malacca. It separates the civic district, clustered at the foot of St Paul's Hill, from the residential and commercial districts of Heeren Street and Jonker Street. Many small boats sail past historic buildings, old warehouses, mangrove stands, churches and villages.
After your river cruise, re-board your coach and drive to a Malay village.
During your exploration of this village, visit Villa Sentosa, a traditional kampong house, to learn more about the Malay traditional life. Then, you will enjoy a local coffee/tea with traditional snacks.
Continue your journey to the Chitty village in Jalan Gajah Berang. It is home to a small community of Hindu Peranakans - descendants from Tamil traders who settled in Melaka over 500 years ago. Chitty (or Chetti) means 'trader' in Tamil. Since the 15th century, Southern India traders visit the shores of the Malay Peninsula to trade spices and other merchandise. They came for extended trips as bachelors or without their wives and they married local women in Melaka - Malays, Chinese, Javanese and Batak.

On arrival, you will be greeted with a traditional Mah Meri welcome ceremony.
During this tour, learn about the mystical beliefs and culture of a mysterious and unique native tribe. The Mah Meri is one of the 19 native tribe groups in Peninsular Malaysia. Learn and experience interesting rituals, simple yet complex practices and dances that are rooted in animistic beliefs. Mingle with the friendly locals and discover their daily activities. Learn the ancient craft of creating origami from a palm leaf. Truly blessed with creative skills par excellence in woodcarving, you will have the opportunity to view their works of art. Depart the pier for the one ¼-hour drive along the modern highway into Kuala Lumpur. On arrival, visit the National Museum - The country's premier museum is a repository for the nation's rich heritage and history. Built in 1963, the façade features a Minangkabau-styled roof with tow impressive front murals. The museum showcases four main galleries with highlights such as Early History, The Malay Kingdoms, The Colonial Era and Malaysia Today.
Continue by coach passing by the Houses of Parliament for a photo stop at The National Monument. Beside the National Monument are the ASEAN Gardens and the Memorial Tun Razak, which houses memorabilia of Malaysia's second Prime Minister, the late Tun Abdul Razak Hussein. Drive past the Lake Garden - served as place of refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city during colonial times. Proceed past The Bird Park annd National Mosque -built in 1965, it is Malaysia's principal place of worship and one of the most prominent building in the city.
Lunch will be served buffet style atop the KL Tower, offering panoramic views over the city.
After lunch, proceed to the Independent Square, it was here that the Union Flag was lowered and the Malayan flag hoisted for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957. Surrounding the Merdeka Square (Independence Square) are Sultan Abdul Samad Building, used to house the Federated Malay States administration and then High Court, Royal Selangor Club, serving as a social and cricket club for the growing expatriate community then. Before your return journey proceed to Petronas Twin Tower, the tallest buildings in the world until 2004 and still today they are the tallest set of twin towers ever constructed. Your first stop will be made at a Chinese clan jetty, where the locals live in wooden houses perched on stilts over the water. Walk over the narrow wooden platform and immerse yourself in the trading history of Penang and the lifestyles of the families residing on the Chew Jetty.
Next, the grand Khoo Kongsi awaits you. This clan house, a symbol of filial piety is a must-see for any visitor to Penang and it features many ornate wood and granite carvings.
Next, visit the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, once home and ancestral hall of Chung Keng Quee, Captain China of Perak and a Hakka mine-owner. Displayed in this 19th century townhouse of eclectic design and architecture, are an extensive collection of Straits-born Chinese or Baba Nyonya antiques.
Finally, relive the rich cultural heritage of the Chinese while visiting The Blue Mansion - the mystic- shrouded Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, a home restored to its former splendour and now a boutique and bed and breakfast. This architectural masterpiece is a statement of the eclecticism of the times. Carefully restored after a century of neglect, "The Blue Mansion" has been the location for several films including "Indochine" with Catherine Deneuve. From the pier, you will board your coach for a 45-minute drive to the bottom of Penang Hill. Then, you will take the funicular train, which will bring you up to 800 metres above sea level. Constructed in 1923, this popular resort rail line leads you past flower farms and colonial bungalows. With your guide, head out on foot along a one-mile (1.8 km) nature trail through The Habitat.
The area’s rich biodiversity encompasses more than 100 species of birds, endangered endemic plants and a multitude of fauna. As you approach the mid-point of the trail, get on The Langur Way Canopy Walk, a bridge which brings you up close to the canopy layer of the rainforest 30 metres-high from the forest floor. Spanning 230m/750ft in length, the canopy walk provides spectacular valley views of this ancient rainforest and a glimpse of the Andaman seas beyond.
From the Canopy Walk, make your way to the Curtis Crest Treetop Walk and stand atop the highest viewing platform in Penang. From this vantage point, take in 360-degree panoramic views of Penang Island and across the Straits of Malacca to mainland Penang and the neighbouring state of Kedah. The ground below the Curtis Crest Treetop Walk was once used as military parade grounds by the East India Company and was explored by famed botanist Charles Curtis, first superintendent of Penang Botanic Gardens for experimental planting.

First up is a trip to Bayon Temple, an iconic landmark known for its mesmerising stone faces. Immerse yourself in the rich history and architectural beauty of this ancient temple during your visit.
Next, proceed to Ta Prohm Temple, famous for its intertwining tree roots and enchanting atmosphere. Explore the temple's ruins, which will make you feel as if you've stepped into a scene from a jungle adventure.
Return to town for a well-deserved lunch break. Indulge in a delectable three-course meal.
Next, make your way to the crown jewel of Angkor, Angkor Wat Temple. Marvel at its grandeur and architectural splendour as you explore the intricate carvings and expansive grounds of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Continue your exploration as you visit the Blacksmith family. Gain insights into the ancient art of blacksmithing and witness skilled craftspeople at work, shaping metal into intricate objects.
Take a leisurely walk to the community lunch venue, where you will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the locals. Savour the flavours of the region while sipping on fresh coconut water.
Next, you will depart for a pagoda, a place of spiritual significance. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the enchanting Chai Yam Music Band and can immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere of their welcome ceremony.

After breakfast, you wil begin the day by visitting the Apopo Center, a unique facility dedicated to training HeroRATs, rats that are trained to detect landmines. Learn about their remarkable work and the impact it has on communities.
You will be meeting with one of our Local Legends. Here you will be welcomed into the home studio and gallery of renowned contemporary artist Channy Chhoeun. Channy was born in 1988 in Battambang. In 1998, his family relocated to the jungle approximately 100 kilometers from Battambang. The move was part of a government scheme to give underprivileged families land so that they could farm for a living. As a young boy, Channy discovered his love and talent for art by sketching with sticks and soil. When his father heard about an art school that provided free education in Battambang called Phare Ponleu Selpek, he enrolled Channy. Passionate about birds and their relationship with humans and the environment, Channy is keen to paint and share about the dangers that befall wildlife in our modern world. This is reflected in much of his work. Enjoy some snacks and tea as you tour the art studio and hear Channy’s story first-hand.
Return to town for a well-deserved lunch break. Indulge in a delectable three-course meal.

It is traditionally believed that the history of Malaysia began with founding Malacca in 1400. The state flourished and became a huge emporium attracting traders from all over Asia and even as far as Europe. Then a succession of colonial eras turned Malacca into the fascinating melting pot of cultures, which still exist today.
From the pier, embark your coach for the short drive to the Dutch Square and its majestic Stadhuys, built by the Dutch for the official residence of their Governors and administrative building.
Visit the Historical and Ethnography Museum, the first floor of the Museum is devoted to the history of Melaka which is also the early history of Malaysia. It covers the period from the founding of Malacca as the Malay Sultanate as early as 1400, to its existence as a colony under the Portuguese, Dutch, British and Japanese ruling, to the establishment of the independent Federation of Malaya in 1957. Among the other popular exhibits on display are the items used in traditional wedding ceremonies, kitchen utensils, farming utensils and musical instruments. Continue, ascending up St Paul Hill to visit St Paul Church where, St Francis Xavier was temporary buried before his body was transferred to Goa, India. A stop will be made at Porta de Santiago, part of the Portugese fort built after 1512.
From Porta de Santiago, depart by coach to the old part of Malacca and visit the oldest Chinese Temples in South East Asia also known as The Cheng Hoong Teng Temple.

From the pier, board your coach and drive to the Malacca River cruise jetty for a 40-minute river cruise.
The Malacca River crosses Malacca City to the Strait of Malacca. It separates the civic district, clustered at the foot of St Paul's Hill, from the residential and commercial districts of Heeren Street and Jonker Street. Many small boats sail past historic buildings, old warehouses, mangrove stands, churches and villages.
After your river cruise, re-board your coach and drive to a Malay village.
During your exploration of this village, visit Villa Sentosa, a traditional kampong house, to learn more about the Malay traditional life. Then, you will enjoy a local coffee/tea with traditional snacks.
Continue your journey to the Chitty village in Jalan Gajah Berang. It is home to a small community of Hindu Peranakans - descendants from Tamil traders who settled in Melaka over 500 years ago. Chitty (or Chetti) means 'trader' in Tamil. Since the 15th century, Southern India traders visit the shores of the Malay Peninsula to trade spices and other merchandise. They came for extended trips as bachelors or without their wives and they married local women in Melaka - Malays, Chinese, Javanese and Batak.

Depart the pier for the one ¼-hour drive along the modern highway into Kuala Lumpur. Continue by coach passing by the Houses of Parliament for a photo stop at The National Monument. Drive past the Lake Garden - served as place of refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city during colonial times. Carefully restored after a century of neglect, "The Blue Mansion" has been the location for several films including "Indochine" with Catherine Deneuve. From the pier, you will board your coach for a 45-minute drive to the bottom of Penang Hill. Then, you will take the funicular train, which will bring you up to 800 metres above sea level. Constructed in 1923, this popular resort rail line leads you past flower farms and colonial bungalows. With your guide, head out on foot along a one-mile (1.8 km) nature trail through The Habitat.

Day 1 - Singapore
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local representative.
You will embark on a visit to the Thian Hock Kheng Temple, the oldest and most significant Hokkien temple in Singapore. Its architectural style is traditional of Southern China and its restoration, completed in 2004, earned it the most prestigious UNESCO award for the restoration of a cultural heritage building in the Asia-Pacific region.
Your next stop will be Chinatown district where narrow lanes, weathered alleys and bustling street vendors serve as relics of History. While strolling around the Hindu temple of Sri Mariamman, you will notice the flamboyant decoration of the structure adorned with colorful gods and goddesses. Its walls are carved with a profusion of deities, doors decorated with bells and ceilings painted with splendid frescoes.

After your lunch, you will have an intimate experience at a Batik workshop.
