Your tour commences with a scenic coach drive through the streets of Hammerfest, the world's northernmost town. This inspirational museum aims to show human determination to conquer and overcome the destruction created by war and create a new future. The exhibitions give visitors an inside look at the life and culture of Finnmark County before the war, the living conditions of refugees and the optimism that characterized the reconstruction years after the war.
Following your visit to the museum, you will re-join your coach for a short ride towards Salen, where you will be treated with views towards the town and surrounding islands. If you're lucky, you may observe herds of reindeer, the domestic animals of the Sami people.
