Sie stechen in Nizza in See und nehmen Kurs auf Bonifacio, ein Schmuckstück an der Südspitze Korsikas. Wie eine von Wind und Brandung gemeißelte Festung enthüllt die Stadt Ihnen ihre historische Altstadt mit langen gepflasterten Gassen.
Sie entdecken Amalfi und seine Küste, Orte von unglaublicher Schönheit, die zum Welterbe der UNESCO gehören. Das zwischen Himmel und Meer gelegene Amalfi und die umliegenden kleinen Ortschaften bieten wunderschöne Landschaften.
Die Fahrt geht weiter, und Sie entdecken Taormina am Fuße des schneebedeckten Ätna. Durch die Gassen bummeln Sie zum beeindruckenden antiken griechischen Theater, einem Wunderwerk der Akustik.
Dann sie fahren in südlicher Richtung nach Montenegro, wo die Bucht von Kotor, Welterbe der UNESCO, zu einer herrlichen Fahrt einlädt. Im Herzen von vier gebirgigen Buchten werden steile Klippen von einem tiefblauen Meer umspült.
Anschließend legt die Le Jacques-Cartier auf Hvar an. Wegen ihres sehr milden und sonnigen Klimas trägt die Insel den Spitznamen „Kroatisches Madeira“. Dann erreichen Sie Rovinj in Istrien. In den gepflasterten Gässchen der Altstadt können Sie die Architektur mit venezianischen Einflüssen entdecken, die von der strahlenden Schönheit der Adria untermalt wird.
Als krönender Abschluss führt Sie die Reise nach Venedig, der Serenissima, und ihrer Lagune. Der Markusplatz, der Dogenpalast, der Canal Grande und die Palazzi an den Kanälen machen diese letzte Etappe der Reise zu einer unvergesslichen Zeit.

For three years, Hector Obalk has been behind shows about art like Toute l’histoire de l’art en moins de deux heures (the history of art in under two hours) of which there are several versions that he has performed in numerous theatres including Théâtre de l’Atelier, 13ème Art, Olympia, La Cigale, etc.
His stand-up shows come complete with music and images on the history of Western painting, accompanied by musicians and a giant screen projecting the breathtaking details. Ideal clothes for life on board:
During the days spent on board, you are advised to wear comfortable clothes or casual outfits. The entire ship is air-conditioned, so a light sweater, a light jacket or a shawl may be necessary. When moving about in the public areas of the ship and the decks, light but comfortable shoes are recommended.

In the evening, you are advised to wear smart-casual attire, especially when dining in our restaurants where wearing shorts and tee-shirts is not allowed.

Es ist diese kleine Stadt in Kampanien, die der wunderschönen Amalfiküste ihren Namen verliehen hat. Sie wurde zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt. Kein Wunder, denn sie liegt am Fuße des Monte Cerreto direkt an den Felsflanken einer sich zum Meer öffnenden Schlucht. Amalfi bietet Ihnen zunächst einen fantastischen Naturrahmen, bevor Sie Ihnen ihre Geschichte entlang der mittelalterlichen Gässchen preisgibt. Hier sind die verschiedenen kulturellen Einflüsse des Mittelmeerraums allgegenwärtig.

Sie können das 300 Meter über dem Wasser befindliche mittelalterliche Zentrum besichtigen, dessen Terrassen einen freien Blick auf das Mittelmeer eröffnen. Ein weiteres Zeugnis der Vergangenheit der Stadt sind die Ruinen des griechisch-römischen Theaters. Diese äußerst gut erhaltene Stätte zieht Besuchern an, die von der natürlichen Schönheit des Ortes oberhalb einer türkisfarbenen Bucht fasziniert sind.

Die langen Mauern der befestigten Stadt Kotor offenbaren sich dem Blick, während Sie von der Brücke aus die wundervolle mittelalterliche Stadt zwischen Meer und zerklüfteten Felsen bewundern. Das ruhige und tiefe Wasser der Bucht und hier und dort schwebender Dunst schaffen eine irreale und märchenhafte Atmosphäre. Ihre Breite kommt daher, dass sie eine ehemalige Lagune bedeckt. Die Gebäude, die sie säumen, sind aus elegantem Travertin. Am Pile-Tor empfängt Sie die Statue des Schutzpatrons von Dubrovnik, und Sie können das Küstengebiet während eines Spaziergangs auf den Befestigungsanlagen bewundern. Was befindet sich in der an die Mauer angrenzenden Festung des heiligen Johannes? Ein maritimes Museum und ein Aquarium mit seltenen Fischarten der Adria.

Im Meer vor Split gelegen, erstaunt Hvar durch seine auf die Antike zurückgehenden Traditionen. Auf dieser dalmatinischen Insel soll sich die älteste Stadt des Landes befinden: Stari Grad. Die Stadt liegt gebettet in eine kleine Bucht der Nordwestküste und ist von in Trockenbauweise errichteten ländlichen Anwesen umgeben. Sie wurden aufgrund ihrer Nutzung seit der Zeit der Griechen in die Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen. Aus deren Bewirtschaftung sind Weine und Olivenöl handwerklicher Herstellung hervorgegangen. Auf den Hügeln der Stadt kann man lokalen Erzeugern von Schinken und Käse begegnen.

Stolz und unvergänglich herrscht Venedig seit dem 6. Jh. über ihre Lagune. Man glaubt, sie zu kennen, bevor man überhaupt ihren Boden berührt hat. Dennoch erliegen Sie unweigerlich dem Charme der unzähligen Schätze der „Serenissima“: Markusplatz, Basilika, Dogenpalast, Canal Grande und die Gondeln. Sie möchten sicherlich auch ein weniger bekanntes Venedig entdecken, sich in dem Gewirr aus Gässchen und Kanälen verlieren, die Plätze besichtigen und hinter die Türen der Kirchen schauen. Das außergewöhnliche Kulturerbe sollte Sie aber nicht vergessen lassen, Ihre Gaumen rund um ein Glas Spritz und einige Tramezzini zu verwöhnen.
The Lavezzi Islands & marine caves
From the pier, board your local boat for a cruise along the coast of Bonifacio to enjoy a panoramic view of the citadel and upper town. The buildings atop the sheer limestone cliffs look as though they are about to topple into the sea.
You will start your exploration with the marine caves which are home to numerous birds including falcons, puffins and swifts. Exiting the harbour via the inlet, you will discover the ramparts which encircle the old city.
After passing the limestone cliffs, you will reach the Sdragonatu marine cave (dragon’s cave). Its roof is pierced by a fissure in the shape of a map of Corsica.
Then, continue to the Lavezzi Islands, a marine wildlife and plants sanctuary which make up one of Corsica’s two marine reserves. These uninhabited barren islands of granite rock lie seven miles south-east of Bonifacio, seemingly adrift on a turquoise-emerald sea, whose colour varies with the sky.
You will enjoy one hour of free time to swim, to relax on the beach or to walk around. This island houses also numerous paths to discover different islets and coves. The island is home to several rare species of wild flowers, including the yellow horned poppy and white sea daffodil, and was declared a nature reserve in 1982.
On the way back, you will pass Cavallo Island and Pointe de Sperone, before cruising along the calanques and cliffs to the Bonifacio marina.
- This tour involves few walking times on uneven and dirty grounds with some steps. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, wear your swimsuit under your clothes, bring a towel from the ship and protect yourself from the sun. Please note there are no toilets, bars or shady areas on these islands. A minimum of 20 participants is required to operate this excursion.

Bonifacio highlights
From the pier, board your wheel train and drive up to the oldest part of Bonifacio. En-route, you will see the Bosco quarter with the St. Francis convent and the cemetery dedicated to the mariners with mausoleums displaying a jumble of architectural styles. On a clear day you might also enjoy a panoramic view on Corsica's closest neighbour: the Italian island of Sardinia. Then pass the church St Dominique, a rare example of Corsican gothic architecture, built in 1270, most probably by the Templars. Following the orientation by mini-tram, continue your visit of Bonifacio on foot through tiny, narrow streets bordered with high houses. Pass the church of St. Marie Majeure, with its mixture of Romanesque and Baroque styles dated from 14th century. The excursion will take you through the heart of the historical part of town to the Two Emperors street where Napoleon Bonaparte and Charles V spent a few days, the Place d'Armes, the Jardin des Vestiges and then to the old market where there is a viewpoint over the 230 ft. cliffs on top of which Bonifacio has been built! Stroll through the Porte de Gênes, former only entrance of the citadel, reach the Chapel St Roch built on the spot where the last plague victim died in 1528. Either you will return to the ship with your guide or either you will continue to explore the town on your own.

Amalfi & the Emerald Grotto
From the pier, you will board a motor launch to reach the astonishing and colourful Grotta dello Smeraldo (the Emerald grotto) not far from the Amalfi centre. Enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi coast by cruising to the grotto and once there, on board local boats, experience the emotion of such a suggestive natural spot with its shining emerald green shades.
Discovered in 1932, explorers found a unique cave formation stretching 30 metres (100 feet) high by 60 metres (200 feet) wide, hidden along the coastline. The most fascinating aspect of this cave is the underwater entrance 12 metres (30 feet) deep that allows the sunlight to enter the cave, creating a luminescent Emerald Glow.
At the end of the visit, your launch will drive you back to Amalfi to drop you off in the main square where you will visit the impressive Cathedral of the town and spend some time to browse around and taste local specialities like the Limoncello Liquor.
- Operation of tour is subject to the weather conditions of the day. Participants must be able to embark and disembark the local boats and negotiate 60 steps to visit the cathedral. Proper attire is recommended to visit the inside of the Cathedral (shoulders and knees covered). No explanation inside the Cathedral when holy service is performed. Ravello
From Amalfi harbour, you will reach Ravello by coach after a 40-minute drive following the narrow main road which stretches along the side of rocky cliffs, overlooking the sea. Every twist and turn of the road offer new and breathtaking views on the world famous Sorrentine peninsula. You will see the rocks rising out of the sea like strange mythological creatures and the small boats in sheltered sandy coves that look like brightly coloured toys from up above.
Ravello is a small city of ancient origins which faces a range of hills overlooking the clear blue sea of the gulf of Salerno. The beauties of this area have inspired poets, painters and musicians during its millennia-old history.
On arrival you will be visiting Villa Rufolo where Wagner stayed. The magical beauties of its gardens and the architecture of the cloisters inspired him for “the Garden of Klingsor”. You will also admire the numerous arches and antique towers as well as the Cathedral, outside visit only.
After a short free time to browse and shop around, you will drive back to Amalfi.

Taormina & Greek Theatre
From the pier, you will be transferred by coach to the ancient Greek town of Taormina, a 30-minute drive.
Called Tauromenium in ancient times, Taormina clings to the side of Mount Tauro and offers superb views, splashed with the vibrant colours of bougainvillea and oleanders, of the Mediterranean Sea, Isola Bella and a snow-capped Etna in the background.
A maze of narrow streets, stairs and tiny squares, Taormina has attracted many civilisations over the centuries. It is home to theatres and a gymnasium from the Greek period, an Odeon and baths from Roman times, buildings blending Arab and Norman cultures, traces of Byzantine, and villas belonging to European aristocracy in the 18th and 19th centuries.
You will start your excursion with a visit on foot to the historic centre. You will cross the famous Corso Umberto to discover numerous monuments from several eras, and admire Porta Catania, the Cathedral, Piazza IX Aprile and Palazzo Corvaja.
You will then arrive at Teatro Antico, a theatre built by the Greeks in the 3rd century BC, and almost completely rebuilt by the Romans who created a gladiatorial arena. The theatre is the second largest in Sicily after the one in Syracuse. Due to its size and acoustic quality the theatre is still used to host festivals and concerts. Seated on the stone terraces, the audience can enjoy the concert while admiring a breath-taking panoramic view of the sea, Mount Tauro and Etna.
- As this excursion involves a walk of around 1.5 miles (2 km) on rough terrain with several stairways, we advise you wear comfortable shoes and protect yourself from the sun. Appropriate clothing is required when visiting religious monuments, with knees and shoulders covered.

Ascent of Mount Etna
Leave the landing pier by coach for the drive to Rifugio Sapienza, about 6,000 ft above sea level, on Mount Etna.
Mt. Etna is Europe’s largest active volcano, the slopes soar up to over 9,800 ft and the flanks are covered with scores of cones and craters. Ston walls hiking & oyster tasting
From the pier, board your coach for a 1-hour scenic drive along the Adriatic Road toward the town of Ston.
Ston was built according to the plans approved by the Dubrovnik government in 1335 and amended in 1370 and is considered one of the best planned and best structured cities in Europe. The walls of Ston were a massive architecture and construction feat. Originally 7,000 metre long (22,965 ft.), they consist of several parts; the Ston city walls, the Mali Ston city walls and the Big wall with its three forts. Its forts and towers are strengthened by 10 round and 31 square flanking towers, as well as 6 semicircular bastions. It took almost four centuries to finish these complex defence walls, as the builders had to adapt to the rough terrain and advancements in warfare technology. The walls were last used for defence in the 19th century, and today they are a priceless monument of immense architectural and cultural value.
Once arriving at Ston’s walls, you will start your hiking passing distance of almost 900 meters over demanding terrain with more than 150 steps before joining your coach for a ride to Mali Ston, the 'oysters capital' of Croatia.
Upon arrival in Mali Ston, you will board a local boat which will take you to oyster and mussel beds. Your host will welcome you on board and introduce you with oyster & mussel farming in this area. You will have the opportunity to learn about the oyster & mussel production as well as to taste freshly prepared oysters & mussels including mussel buzara (mussels cooked with wine, garlic and olive oil).
Finally, re-board your coach for a 1-hour return ride back to Dubrovnik along the old historical road passing through the old villages of Dubrovacko Primorje.

Treasures of Dubrovnik
From the pier, meet your guide and start your stroll through the streets of this medieval town.
Along the way you will visit, among other places, the Franciscan Monastery whose cloister ranks among the most inspiring sites of the city. The Monastery houses also the oldest still working pharmacy in Europe and the third-oldest pharmacy in the world founded in 1317. It is still active and still offers creams manufactured according to ancestral recipes.
Then integrated in the Eastern city walls, you will discover the Dominican Monastery, soberer than the previous one, and its museum with a fine collection of Renaissance paintings, including the triptych of N. Bozidarevic representing Dubrovnik before the earthquake or the painting of Sainte Madeleine and Saint Blaise, the work of Titian.
After visiting the monastery, you will go to the Assumption Cathedral built in the 18th century on the ruins of a church dating from the 12th century destroyed by an earthquake in 1667. This one might surprise you by its simplicity and the clarity of its interior but its treasure is among the richest in Europe, with a unique collection of relics in gold and silver.
You will also have the opportunity to see: Stradun, large paved street, favourite place for tourists and locals, unique for its beauty and the abundance of its cultural heritage, Sponza Palace, identifiable by its gallery of arcades, the Church of Saint Blaise, built in 1715 in Baroque style, richly detailed or the Onofrio Fountain, covered by a dome, built by a Neapolitan artist, and which was used as a reservoir by the inhabitants.
Finally, you will get back to your ship.

Hiking in the villages of Hvar
The island of Hvar boasts a mild climate and lush subtropical vegetation. With this tour you will visit the most beautiful parts of the island. You will get to see places rarely visited by tourists as even some of the locals don't know they exist.
The tour will start in the port of Hvar where you will meet your guide. Passing through the town towards the bus station, your guide will give a brief explanation of the town and historical buildings and monuments.
A 20-minute transfer will lead you to the starting point, the village of Velo Grablje. The road offers panoramic views on the surrounding island and on parts of the history and tradition of the island. On arrival in Velo Grablje, your one-hour hiking tour to Malo Grablje will start, using part of the old trail which in medieval times used to be a main road connecting Hvar with Starigrad on the north side of the island.
The entire trail is down hill, starting with approximately 20 long steps and continuing as a small trail for aproximately 1 mile (1.5 km). After that part continue your walk to Malo Grablje on wide gravelly trail. The way from Velo Grablje to Malo Grablje usually lasts around 1 hour with about 45 minutes more of walking on wide gravelly road to Milna. At the end of your hike, you can spend some time on the beach before returning to Hvar town.

Hvar & its religious heritage
This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of gothic and renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.
After crossing the main square, you will pass by the Cathedral of Saint Stephan (outside visit). It was built in stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, while the interior was not wholly completed until the 18th century. From outside, it has the characteristics of the Renaissance style and inside the baroque style.
Then, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery, which holds a rich collection of lace made of agave leaves.

Follow your guide on a walking tour of Stari Grad, the second largest town on Hvar and one of the oldest towns in Europe. Stari Grad was originally named Faros by the Greek settlers, it lies on the north side of the island and it is known as the most fertile plain, farmed since pre-historic times. You will begin with the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in the historic centre of Porec. The group of religious monuments in Porec, where Christianity was established as early as the 4th century, constitutes the most complete surviving complex of its type. The basilica, atrium, baptistery and Episcopal Palace are outstanding examples of religious architecture, while the basilica itself combines classical and Byzantine elements. This complex was enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997.
Then, you will enjoy some free time in Porec, before driving to Agrolaguna agricultural company. On these 3 000 acres, a special attention is paid on wine, olive oil and cheese productions from their own grapes, olives and cattle, taking care of environment and local community. Rovinj & its cathedral
From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Basilica of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).

The Lavezzi Islands & marine caves
From the pier, board your local boat for a cruise along the coast of Bonifacio to enjoy a panoramic view of the citadel and upper town. The buildings atop the sheer limestone cliffs look as though they are about to topple into the sea.
You will start your exploration with the marine caves which are home to numerous birds including falcons, puffins and swifts. Exiting the harbour via the inlet, you will discover the ramparts which encircle the old city.
After passing the limestone cliffs, you will reach the Sdragonatu marine cave (dragon’s cave). Its roof is pierced by a fissure in the shape of a map of Corsica.
Then, continue to the Lavezzi Islands, a marine wildlife and plants sanctuary which make up one of Corsica’s two marine reserves. These uninhabited barren islands of granite rock lie seven miles south-east of Bonifacio, seemingly adrift on a turquoise-emerald sea, whose colour varies with the sky.
You will enjoy one hour of free time to swim, to relax on the beach or to walk around. This island houses also numerous paths to discover different islets and coves. The island is home to several rare species of wild flowers, including the yellow horned poppy and white sea daffodil, and was declared a nature reserve in 1982.
On the way back, you will pass Cavallo Island and Pointe de Sperone, before cruising along the calanques and cliffs to the Bonifacio marina.

Bonifacio highlights
From the pier, board your wheel train and drive up to the oldest part of Bonifacio. En-route, you will see the Bosco quarter with the St. Francis convent and the cemetery dedicated to the mariners with mausoleums displaying a jumble of architectural styles. On a clear day you might also enjoy a panoramic view on Corsica's closest neighbour: the Italian island of Sardinia. Then pass the church St Dominique, a rare example of Corsican gothic architecture, built in 1270, most probably by the Templars. Following the orientation by mini-tram, continue your visit of Bonifacio on foot through tiny, narrow streets bordered with high houses. Pass the church of St. Marie Majeure, with its mixture of Romanesque and Baroque styles dated from 14th century. The excursion will take you through the heart of the historical part of town to the Two Emperors street where Napoleon Bonaparte and Charles V spent a few days, the Place d'Armes, the Jardin des Vestiges and then to the old market where there is a viewpoint over the 230 ft. cliffs on top of which Bonifacio has been built! Stroll through the Porte de Gênes, former only entrance of the citadel, reach the Chapel St Roch built on the spot where the last plague victim died in 1528. Amalfi & the Emerald Grotto
From the pier, you will board a motor launch to reach the astonishing and colourful Grotta dello Smeraldo (the Emerald grotto) not far from the Amalfi centre. Enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi coast by cruising to the grotto and once there, on board local boats, experience the emotion of such a suggestive natural spot with its shining emerald green shades.
Discovered in 1932, explorers found a unique cave formation stretching 30 metres (100 feet) high by 60 metres (200 feet) wide, hidden along the coastline. The most fascinating aspect of this cave is the underwater entrance 12 metres (30 feet) deep that allows the sunlight to enter the cave, creating a luminescent Emerald Glow.
At the end of the visit, your launch will drive you back to Amalfi to drop you off in the main square where you will visit the impressive Cathedral of the town and spend some time to browse around and taste local specialities like the Limoncello Liquor.

Ravello
From Amalfi harbour, you will reach Ravello by coach after a 40-minute drive following the narrow main road which stretches along the side of rocky cliffs, overlooking the sea. Every twist and turn of the road offer new and breathtaking views on the world famous Sorrentine peninsula. You will see the rocks rising out of the sea like strange mythological creatures and the small boats in sheltered sandy coves that look like brightly coloured toys from up above.
Ravello is a small city of ancient origins which faces a range of hills overlooking the clear blue sea of the gulf of Salerno. The beauties of this area have inspired poets, painters and musicians during its millennia-old history.
On arrival you will be visiting Villa Rufolo where Wagner stayed. The magical beauties of its gardens and the architecture of the cloisters inspired him for “the Garden of Klingsor”. You will also admire the numerous arches and antique towers as well as the Cathedral, outside visit only.

Taormina & Greek Theatre
From the pier, you will be transferred by coach to the ancient Greek town of Taormina, a 30-minute drive.
Called Tauromenium in ancient times, Taormina clings to the side of Mount Tauro and offers superb views, splashed with the vibrant colours of bougainvillea and oleanders, of the Mediterranean Sea, Isola Bella and a snow-capped Etna in the background.
A maze of narrow streets, stairs and tiny squares, Taormina has attracted many civilisations over the centuries. It is home to theatres and a gymnasium from the Greek period, an Odeon and baths from Roman times, buildings blending Arab and Norman cultures, traces of Byzantine, and villas belonging to European aristocracy in the 18th and 19th centuries.
You will start your excursion with a visit on foot to the historic centre. You will cross the famous Corso Umberto to discover numerous monuments from several eras, and admire Porta Catania, the Cathedral, Piazza IX Aprile and Palazzo Corvaja.
You will then arrive at Teatro Antico, a theatre built by the Greeks in the 3rd century BC, and almost completely rebuilt by the Romans who created a gladiatorial arena. The theatre is the second largest in Sicily after the one in Syracuse. Due to its size and acoustic quality the theatre is still used to host festivals and concerts. Treasures of Dubrovnik
From the pier, meet your guide and start your stroll through the streets of this medieval town.
Along the way you will visit, among other places, the Franciscan Monastery whose cloister ranks among the most inspiring sites of the city. The Monastery houses also the oldest still working pharmacy in Europe and the third-oldest pharmacy in the world founded in 1317. It is still active and still offers creams manufactured according to ancestral recipes.
Then integrated in the Eastern city walls, you will discover the Dominican Monastery, soberer than the previous one, and its museum with a fine collection of Renaissance paintings, including the triptych of N. Bozidarevic representing Dubrovnik before the earthquake or the painting of Sainte Madeleine and Saint Blaise, the work of Titian.
After visiting the monastery, you will go to the Assumption Cathedral built in the 18th century on the ruins of a church dating from the 12th century destroyed by an earthquake in 1667. This one might surprise you by its simplicity and the clarity of its interior but its treasure is among the richest in Europe, with a unique collection of relics in gold and silver.
You will also have the opportunity to see: Stradun, large paved street, favourite place for tourists and locals, unique for its beauty and the abundance of its cultural heritage, Sponza Palace, identifiable by its gallery of arcades, the Church of Saint Blaise, built in 1715 in Baroque style, richly detailed or the Onofrio Fountain, covered by a dome, built by a Neapolitan artist, and which was used as a reservoir by the inhabitants.
Finally, you will get back to your ship.

Hiking in the villages of Hvar
The island of Hvar boasts a mild climate and lush subtropical vegetation. With this tour you will visit the most beautiful parts of the island. You will get to see places rarely visited by tourists as even some of the locals don't know they exist.
The tour will start in the port of Hvar where you will meet your guide. Passing through the town towards the bus station, your guide will give a brief explanation of the town and historical buildings and monuments.
A 20-minute transfer will lead you to the starting point, the village of Velo Grablje. The road offers panoramic views on the surrounding island and on parts of the history and tradition of the island. On arrival in Velo Grablje, your one-hour hiking tour to Malo Grablje will start, using part of the old trail which in medieval times used to be a main road connecting Hvar with Starigrad on the north side of the island.
The entire trail is down hill, starting with approximately 20 long steps and continuing as a small trail for aproximately 1 mile (1.5 km). After that part continue your walk to Malo Grablje on wide gravelly trail. The way from Velo Grablje to Malo Grablje usually lasts around 1 hour with about 45 minutes more of walking on wide gravelly road to Milna. At the end of your hike, you can spend some time on the beach before returning to Hvar town.

Hvar & its religious heritage
This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of gothic and renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.
After crossing the main square, you will pass by the Cathedral of Saint Stephan (outside visit). It was built in stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, while the interior was not wholly completed until the 18th century. From outside, it has the characteristics of the Renaissance style and inside the baroque style.
Then, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery, which holds a rich collection of lace made of agave leaves.
After this walking tour you may follow your guide back to the pier or stay in town for some time at leisure.

Hvar 4WD adventure
From the pier, a 15-minute walk will take you to your 4-wheel drive vehicles.
After a short drive, you will reach the highest peak of the island Saint Nicoleas (626 m/1,900 ft), offering a 360-degree view of the island and the islands of Brac, Korcula and Vis.
During the stops, your guide will give you information about the area, the oldest town in Croatia settled by ancient Greeks and more…
Then, you will go to Velo Grablje and Vidikovac offering a perfect view of the deepest bay on the island.
Finally, you will join Malo Grablje, a small village abandoned decades ago. Upon arrival, you will take a short walk through that picturesque village founded in the 16th century.
On the way back to the port, drive by vineyards covered hills, olive groves and undulating fields of rosemary and lavender.

Hvar highlights by VW Beetle
From the pier, follow your guide on a 30-minute walking tour of the old town on the way to the parking area, where you will meet up with your convoy leader.
The Volkswagen beetles are the old model and have all been restored by this family owned company. After a safety briefing, follow the lead car on a 3-hour drive through Hvar’s hinterland discovering abandoned villages and learning about their rich history. Enjoy the panoramic views from the Fortica fortress dominating Hvar offering breathtaking views over the old harbour and outlying islands.
Follow your guide on a walking tour of Stari Grad, the second largest town on Hvar and one of the oldest towns in Europe. Stari Grad was originally named Faros by the Greek settlers, it lies on the north side of the island and it is known as the most fertile plain, farmed since pre-historic times. This most ancient part of Stari Grad falls within the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Finally, you will head back to your ship.

Porec & wine tasting
From the pier, board your coach and start your 45-minute scenic drive to Porec.
On arrival, follow your guide on a walking tour of the old town.
You will begin with the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in the historic centre of Porec. The group of religious monuments in Porec, where Christianity was established as early as the 4th century, constitutes the most complete surviving complex of its type. The basilica, atrium, baptistery and Episcopal Palace are outstanding examples of religious architecture, while the basilica itself combines classical and Byzantine elements. This complex was enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997.
Then, you will enjoy some free time in Porec, before driving to Agrolaguna agricultural company. On these 3 000 acres, a special attention is paid on wine, olive oil and cheese productions from their own grapes, olives and cattle, taking care of environment and local community. You will walk around the venue and sample wines, olive oils and cheese listening to the presentation of the employees.

Rovinj & its cathedral
From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Basilica of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).
